Industrial solar in Pakistan is about scale and engineering discipline. Factories, textile mills, plastic and steel units, cold stores and large warehouses run heavy three-phase loads — motors, compressors, chillers and pumps — where a poorly designed system simply will not perform. Engineering World designs industrial rooftop and ground-mount solar around your actual load profile so generation, protection and net metering all hold up under real factory conditions.
Built for three-phase, high-demand loads
Industrial systems are built on a three-phase inverter architecture that manages balanced phase loading and the power-factor behaviour of inductive motor loads. We study your demand curve — shift timings, motor starting currents and process peaks — and size the array and inverters so solar displaces the maximum share of your daytime grid draw. Most industrial facilities need at least 30–50 kW before savings become meaningful, and many rooftops support several hundred kilowatts.
Engineering that protects your plant
- Structural assessment of the roof or ground for panel loading and wind
- Correctly rated DC/AC protection, isolators, SPDs and earthing
- Cable sizing and routing that respects voltage drop and heat
- Synchronisation with the grid and, where present, diesel generators
- SCADA-grade monitoring for generation, faults and performance ratio
Regulatory and documentation support
Larger installations involve additional documentation — single-line diagrams, equipment datasheets, DISCO technical evaluation and, above certain thresholds, AEDB certification and NEPRA processes. We prepare and manage this paperwork so your project clears approvals without stalling production.
Net metering & net billing in Pakistan (2026)
Under NEPRA's Prosumer Regulations 2026, new grid-tied applicants are placed on a net-billing arrangement: the units your system exports to the grid are purchased at a notified buy-back rate, while the units you import are billed at your normal tariff. Existing net-metering agreements generally remain valid on their original terms until they expire. DISCO approval typically takes around 2.5–3.5 months after installation, and connections up to 1 MW on a three-phase supply are eligible to apply. We prepare the single-line diagram, equipment datasheets and application paperwork and coordinate with your DISCO (LESCO in most of Lahore) on your behalf.
Ground-mount and hybrid options
Where roof area is limited, we design ground-mounted arrays on available land. For units that cannot tolerate any interruption, hybrid architectures with storage or generator synchronisation keep critical processes stable.
